The Flamingo Lodge & Marina in Everglades National Park (a designated World Heritage Site) is looking for prospective candidates to help operate our concessions during the 2005-2006 winter season. Flamingo Lodge & Marina is operated by Xanterra Parks & Resorts, the largest state and national park concessionaire in the United States. 

Xanterra also operates the concessions at Yellowstone National Park, Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Zion and Bryce Canyons, Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Painted Desert Oasis, the Gideon Putnam Hotel in Saratoga Springs State Park, and the Silverado Country Club in Napa Valley, in addition to state park resorts in Ohio.

While wages for most positions start at $6.25/hour*, benefits include low cost dormitory style housing. Full RV hookup is also available in lieu of housing.  Other benefits include free Florida Bay and Back Country Boat Cruises, and free rental of Canoes, Kayaks and Skiffs (when space and/or boat is available). Long-term benefits include low cost group health and life insurance, paid vacations, sick leave, holiday pay, 401(k) investment plan, and the opportunity to transfer to other Xanterra Parks & Resorts' operations.

Our winter season runs to May, and while we understand that not everyone will be available for the full season, your dates of availability will have a bearing on your chances of employment. Generally, the earlier you can start and the later you can stay, the better your chances will be of receiving an offer of employment.  Be realistic and specific about the dates you will be available as these dates will become a part of your Employment Agreement if hired.
