Located in Skagway, Alaska, the Klondike Gold Dredge was moved from the Klondike gold fields and is a popular tour destination offered to cruise ship and independent passengers.

Our normal work includes three busy days mid-week with lighter days at the beginning and end of the week and on weekends. We offer full-time and part-time positions allowing some employees to work other jobs or spend more time exploring Alaska. All wages are DOE. Gift Shop Manager

The Klondike Gold Dredge, fast becoming one of the leading tour destinations in Skagway, is looking for a sales motivated entrepreneur who can supervise Gift Shop Sales Consultants and oversee the general operation of the gift shop. The Gift Shop Supervisor will write the schedule for the Sales Consultants, assist in ordering products for the gift shop and work closely with the General Manager and Operations Manager to increase revenue and guest satisfaction. Supervisory experienced preferred.

Gift Shop Sales Consultant

The Klondike Gold Dredge, fast becoming one of the leading tour destinations in Skagway, is looking for outgoing, happy, sales-motivated entrepreneurs. Gift Shop Sales Consultants will assist guests in our gift shop and make commission on sales. Become a member of our “Klondike Family” and work closely to achieve success at reaching our sales and guest satisfaction goals. There is unlimited earning potential based on your individual motivation and initiative.

Tour Guide

The Klondike Gold Dredge, fast becoming one of the leading tour destinations in Skagway, is looking for fun, outgoing, actor wannabes, musicians, and comedians. Have fun entertaining our guests by presenting the history of the Klondike Gold Dredge and telling tales of the stampeders who risked their lives in search of the illusive glimmer of gold. We encourage participation in developing your own tour, involving your own personal style and life experiences. Tour guides will give short two-hour tours of the Klondike Gold Dredge and gold panning or longer five-hour tours that include entertaining guests on the White Pass & Yukon Route railway, a tour of the Klondike Gold Dredge and gold panning. Tour guides will also assist guests in our gift shop, and make commission on sales.

Dock Representatives

The Klondike Gold Dredge, fast becoming one of the leading tour destinations in Skagway, is looking for an outgoing, motivated individual to assist the Operations Manager to oversee general operations relating to tour products. The Dock Representatives will direct guests to their appropriate tour at the dock, be one of the main contacts for cruise ships, manage tour flow through the premises and give tours on busy days. The Dock Representative will work closely with the General Manager and Operations Manager to insure a high level of guest satisfaction.

Tour Support Attendant

The Klondike Gold Dredge, fast becoming one of the leading tour destinations in Skagway, is looking for trust-worthy individuals to aide Tour Guides in gold panning demonstrations. Tour Attendants must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Tour Attendants will replenish gold pans at gold panning stations, assist in gold panning shows and clean gold panning areas between shows. Must have a fun-loving attitude and be flexible on the job.

Operations Manager

The Klondike Gold Dredge, fast becoming one of the leading tour destinations in Skagway, is looking for an organized, goal-oriented individual to oversee the operations of our tour products. The Operations Manager will work closely with the General Manager, Gift Shop Supervisor, Tour Manager, Food Preparers, other co-workers, vendors and cruise ships to insure a high level of guest satisfaction. The Operations Manager will assist the General Manager with marketing and maintaining a high level of employee satisfaction. Supervisory experience required.

Tour Support Supervisor

The Klondike Gold Dredge, fast becoming one of the leading tour destinations in Skagway, is looking for an outgoing, motivated individual to assist the Operations Manager in overseeing general operations relating to tour products.  The Tour Support Supervisor will manage all food preparations for tours as well as develop an onsite snack bar.   Further duties included on-site housing management & ensuring facility cleansliness.  The Tour Support Supervisor will manage both the Food Preparer/Barista & Tour Attendant positions.  Supervisory and food service experience preferred.

Food Preparer/Barista

The Klondike Gold Dredge, fast becoming one of the leading tour destinations in Skagway, is looking for independent individuals to prepare food for our tours, order food supplies, and sell light snacks and refreshments to our guests. The food preparers will work closely together on busy days, starting early in the morning, to insure all lunches and snacks are prepared in time for the day’s guests. They will also work independently on slower days to prepare food and order supplies. Food preparers will sell light refreshments at the Klondike Gold Dredge and receive a commission on sales made.
