The operating season at Lake Crescent Lodge in the Olympic National Park is May through October.

Positions Available:

KITCHEN POSITIONS

Dishwasher: Wash dishes, pots and pans in a fast paced environment. Assist cooks in food prep as needed. Keep dish area clean and organized. Put away clean dishes. Tear down EDR food area and keep EDR areas clean.

Prep Cook: Assist cooks with slicing, dicing, and chopping food items, making sauces, salad dressings, and some baking. Maintain cleanliness and organization. Previous kitchen experience helpful.

Pantry Cook: Prepare salads, desserts and other food items for a fast paced restaurant. Maintain cleanliness and organization. Previous kitchen and baking experience helpful.

Pantry Lead: Perform all aspects of the Pantry Cook and Prep Cook and assist line cooks as needed. Duties will also include scratch baking a variety of desserts and breads. Maintain cleanliness and organization. Previous kitchen and baking experience is required.

Line Cook: Prepare dinner items for casual fine dining restaurant with a heavy emphasis on seafood preparation. Knowledge and experienced with the use of broiler, sauté, grill and ovens is required. Maintain cleanliness and organization. Previous kitchen experience is required.

Breakfast/Lunch Lead: Prepare all breakfast and lunch items to order for our guests. Total line set-up and production for both meals. Generally work with one other cook. Maintain cleanliness and organization. Previous breakfast and lunch cooking experience required.

Dinner Lead: Prepare upscale dinner items with a heavy emphasis on local seafood, vegetables and sauces. Working both sauté and broiler sides of the line. Emphasis is on quality, consistency, and presentation. Total line set-up and production for dinner. Maintain cleanliness and organization. Previous experience is required with the ability to lead others and maintain an even flow in the kitchen. Knowledge in seafood cuisine is helpful

Sous Chef: Assist the Kitchen Manager and Food & Beverage Director in overseeing daily kitchen operations for a casual fine dining restaurant environment. Work all positions in kitchen, including line cook, pantry cook, breakfast cook, baker, prep cook and dishwasher. Order product and rotate stock. Maintain safety and sanitation practices. Develop specials and prepare daily soups. Assist the Kitchen Manager and Food & Beverage Director in supervising and training of all kitchen staff. Work as a team player to help promote a teamwork environment. Maintain cleanliness and organization. Previous experience required with the ability to lead others and maintain an even flow in the kitchen. Knowledge in seafood cuisine is a must.

Kitchen Manager: Assist the Food & Beverage Director in overseeing all daily kitchen operations in a casual fine dining restaurant environment. Work all positions in kitchen, including line cook, pantry cook, breakfast cook, baker, prep cook and dishwasher. Order product and rotate stock. Maintain safety and sanitation practices. Develop specials and prepare daily soups. Responsibilities include supervising and training of all kitchen staff and writing work schedules. Maintain cleanliness and organization. Create and promote a teamwork environment. Previous experience is required and knowledge in seafood cuisine. Emphasis is on quality, consistency, and presentation. Work as a team with the Dining Room Manager & staff to ensure an even flow of communication between the Front of the House and the Back of the House.

RESTAURANT POSITIONS

Host: Greet and seat guests, answer phone, process take-out orders, cash handling, use of a POS system, provide exceptional customer service consistently. Work as a team with the kitchen staff. Good communication skills are necessary. Handle customer complaints in a positive manner.

Bus Person: Assist waitstaff in serving guests. Clear and set tables, pour water and coffee, take out bread to tables, help waitstaff serve non-alcoholic beverages as needed. Physical and fast paced. Provide exceptional customer service consistently. Work as a team with the kitchen staff. Good communication skills are necessary.

Waitstaff: Serve our guests for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner in a casual fine dining restaurant environment. Excellent customer service skills are required. Daily side work and cleaning duties. Previous experience required. Knowledge of wines is preferable. Work as a team with the kitchen staff. Good communication skills are necessary. Handle customer complaints in a positive manner.

Dining Room Lead: Assist the Dining Room Manager in overseeing the daily operations of a casual fine dining restaurant. Perform all aspects of restaurant positions, including waiting tables, bussing, and hosting. Assist the Dining Room Manager and Food & Beverage Director in supervising and training all restaurant staff. Maintain high customer service standards and good communication skills are a must. Handle customer complaints in a positive manner and help promote a positive teamwork environment. Work as a team with the kitchen staff and communicate effectively.

Dining Room Manager: Oversee daily operations of a casual fine dining restaurant. Perform all aspects of restaurant positions, including waiting tables, bussing, and hosting. Assist the Food & Beverage Director in supervising and training all dining room staff. Maintain high customer service standards and good communication skills are a must. Handle customer complaints in a positive manner and create a teamwork environment. Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff and work as a team.

LODGING / HOUSEKEEPING POSITIONS

Lodging Help (Housekeepers): Follow specific guidelines and procedures to ensure high standards are met in maintaining the cleanliness of all guest rooms and public areas. Clean guest rooms, make beds, assist in laundry, stock and sort linens, separate recyclables, trash removal. Work in teams and individually. Work both indoors and outdoors. Physical and fast paced. No experience necessary but helpful.

Day & Night Porter: Follow specific guidelines and procedures to ensure high standards are met in maintaining the cleanliness of all guest rooms and public areas. Maintaining the cleanliness of the main lodge building and lobby to included but not limited to cleaning public bathrooms, window washing, lighting and maintaining the lobby fireplace, handling guests requests, bellhop duties upon request, emptying trash and recyclables, and stocking linen closets.

Housekeeping/Laundry Lead: Perform all aspects of the lodging help position. Perform daily inspections of all guest rooms to ensure proper cleaning and standards have been met. Assist the Housekeeping Manager in supervising and training all lodging help. Communicate with the Front Desk staff regarding checkouts and stay over guests.

Housekeeping Manager: Oversee daily operations in the housekeeping department. Responsible for the cleanliness of all guest room units and lodge public areas, and ensure they are well maintained, safe and clean. Perform all aspects of the lodging help position. Supervise and train all lodging help. Communicate with the Front Desk staff regarding checkouts and stay over guests. Communicate with the Maintenance staff regarding guest room and public area maintenance issues. Create a teamwork environment and find solutions for guest complaints.

Front Desk Positions: Front Desk Agent Take reservations, check-in guests, handle multiple phone lines, customer relations, cash handling, answer questions regarding activities to guests, rent rowboats, communication with housekeeping regarding check-outs and stay over guests, and communication with the day and night porter for guest requests, handle emergency calls to the Park Service when necessary. Computer skills are required. All reservations are set up through a computerized guest tracking system.

Front Desk Lead: Perform all aspects of the Front Desk Agent position. Handle guest complaints in a positive manner, handle emergency calls to the Park Service when necessary, assist the Front Desk Manager in supervising and training all staff, and help promote a positive teamwork environment.

Front Desk Manager: Oversee daily operations of the Front Desk Department. Perform all aspects of the Front Desk Agent position. Resolve customer complaints in a positive manner. Supervise and train all Front Desk staff, write weekly schedules and create and promote a positive teamwork environment. Computer skills are required and must be able to troubleshoot computer system problems.

Night Auditor: Night Auditor Perform daily audit of sales for all lodge departments. Must be able to work alone and throughout the night. Previous experience, or similar experience preferable.

Night Audit Relief / Reservations: Work two nights a week as the Night Audit Relief and keep up on reservation requests via email, answer phones, make reservations. Computer skills are required. All reservations are set up through a computerized guest tracking system.

GIFT STORE POSITIONS

Retail Associate: Sales of gift, apparel and souvenirs, customer sales, cash handling, stocking, , and daily cleaning duties, check in and price merchandise, and follow established guidelines in regards to sales, stocking and merchandising inventory as outlined by the Forever Resorts Vice President of Retail and team.

Gift Store Manager: Oversee daily operations of the lodge gift store. Perform all aspects of the gift store retail associate position. Perform shipping and receiving functions for merchandise. Follow established guidelines in regards to sales, stocking and merchandising inventory as determined by the Forever Resorts Vice President of Retail and team. Supervise and train all staff, write weekly schedules, handle guest concerns and questions and create and promote a positive teamwork environment.

MAINTENANCE POSITIONS

Grounds Keeper / Painter: Maintain lodge grounds, including mowing and pruning. Exdterior & interior painting and related pre-work. Previous experience necessary. Must possess valid driver’s license.

Maintenance Help: Daily maintenance and repair of guest units, lodge buildings and dorm areas. Perform preventative maintenance. Extensive maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry experience necessary. Must possess valid driver’s license.

Maintenance Manager: Oversee all aspects of maintenance and grounds keeping at Lake Crescent Lodge, Hurricane Ridge, and Fairholme Store & Marina, including all guest rooms and employee housing. Follow and maintain all EMS standards. Perform all aspects of the Maintenance Help and Grounds Keeper / Painter positions.

ACCOUNTING / PAYROLL POSITIONS

Accounting: Accounts Payable, balancing all departments sales reconciliations, following guidelines set forth by Forever Resorts Accounting Department.

FAIRHOLME STORE AND MARINA POSITIONS

Store Clerk/Marina Attendant: Sales of camp, grocery, beer & wine, souvenirs, apparel, kayak & row boat rentals, fuel sales, customer service, cash handling, stocking and daily cleaning duties.

Retail/Marina Lead: Perform all aspects of the Retail / Marina Associate, cash handling including daily register reconciliation, assist the store manager with the supervision and training of staff in both retail sales and marina duties.

Store Manager: Oversee the daily operations of the Fairholme Store & Marina operation. Perform all aspects of the Retail / Marina Sales Associate and Lead positions. Write weekly staff schedules. Season End Inventory of all store merchandise. Create a positive, fun and teamwork environment.

HURRICANE RIDGE GIFT AND SNACK SHOP POSITIONS

Retail Associate: Sales of gift, apparel and souvenirs in a high volume store, customer service, cash handling, stocking, and daily cleaning duties, check in and price merchandise, and follow established guidelines in regards to sales, stocking and merchandising inventory as outlined by the Forever Resorts Vice President of Retail and team. Season End Inventory.

Retail Lead: Perform all aspects of the Retail Associate, cash handling including daily register reconciliation, ensure the expedition of the flow of merchandise from stock room to sales floor, assist with the supervision and training of staff in the gift area, cross train in the snack bar as extra support when needed. Follow established guidelines in regards to sales, stocking and merchandising inventory as outlined by the Forever Resorts Vice President of Retail and team. Help build a positive, fun and teamwork environment along side the Store Manager.

Snack Bar Attendant: Customer sales in food service, cash handling, keep kitchen area clean and organized, use of the fryer and microwave, obtain a Washington State Food Handler’s Permit. Food items included but are not limited to burgers, hot dogs, chili and clam chowder, hot and cold beverages.

Snack Bar Lead: Perform all aspects of the Snack Bar Associate, cash handling, including daily register reconciliation, ensure all food is properly rotated and food inventory records are kept. Assist the Store Manager with the supervision and training of staff. Cross train in the gift area as extra support when needed. Help build a positive, fun, and teamwork environment along side the Store Manager.

Store Manager: Oversee the daily operations of the gift store and snack bar at the Hurricane Ridge location. Perform all aspects of the Retail Associate and Snack Bar Associate. Write all staff schedules, track sales, and follow established guidelines in regards to sales, stocking and merchandising inventory as outlined by the Forever Resorts Vice President of Retail and team for the gift store area. Season End Inventory of both gift store and snack bar. Create a positive, fun and teamwork environment.

Driver/Courier: Shuttle employees to and from the Hurricane Ridge Gift Store & Snack Bar. The store is located approximately a half hour drive from the town of Port Angeles. Run errands and pick up various supplies from local vendors in Port Angeles as needed. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
